Day 7 of RBC Ottawa Bluesfest was kind of “Huh” night.
Having Blue Rodeo as the headliner and Naughty by Nature opening up for them.
Originally Shaggy was supposed to headline but he had to pull out probably to do more promo work with Sting on the duet album “44/876”.
Quoting Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy, “Don’t worry we’ll keep the hip hop going up here”.
The highlight was seeing Noname perform.
Having seen her last year at Capitol Hill Block Party.
There was no way I was going to miss out this set.
Performing most of her album Telefone and previewing some new material.
It was very delightful to see.
Multi-talented musician Angelique Francis Band performed at the Claridge Homes Stage.
The Town Cryers performed at the Blacksheep Stage.
This bought back memories.
Partying it up on the City Stage was Naughty by Nature.
A mixtape of all things pop-culture music hip-hop style and celebrating 25 years as a band!
At least I got to dance and sing to O.P.P.!
There was a delay at the Bob Log III show inside the Barney Danson Theatre due to a fire alarm.
Performing to a packed crowd, the one-man band slide guitar wearing weird helmet wowed everyone.
The LYNNeS graced the Claridge Home Stage.
Ending things off was Blue Rodeo on the City Stage.
