What a night!
Playing at Zaphods were:
Treasure Hunt (No site yet)
Here is a interview I did with them.
WARNING: A few f-bombs have been dropped.
Young Galaxy was in Ottawa in support of their new album “Invisible Republic”.
Treasure Hunt being a very new band showed off what their music was.
Also opening up was Ottawa band Orienteers
Orienteers who I’ve seen before.
This time they have a drummer.
Sounded good this time.
Treasure Hunt blew me away with the instrumental heavy rock.
Fun and wild set!
Was like listening to Shout Out X4 but without the electronics.
If you didn’t know, the band consist of two members of Wintersleep, one from Wolf Parade and one from ex-Hot Hot Heat.
They are a really new band and just happened to play their first live show.
I was lucky to see such a band like that.
Amazing set, loved the laser lights and interesting getup which they look like monks.
I just love hearing Firestruck live just give me chills down my spine!!
Also favorites were Queen Drum, Oh Sister, Destroyer and Long Live The Fallen World.
I didn’t know their song Come and See is being used for a Beer ad.
Mix of fun indie pop and rock music.
Here is their setlist:
- Queen Drum
- Light Years
- Oh Sister
- Come and See
- Long Live The Fallen World
Audio interview is up.
In case you missed both bands.
Young Galaxy will be back in Ottawa around November.
While Treasure Hunt, closest will be Montreal for Pop Montreal.
