Raymond Biesinger of The Famines dropping money into the CHUO 89.1 FM money jar.
This was part of CHUO FM’s Funding Drive which actually takes place on October 19-25.
You can say this was the pre-funding drive and this was one of those live shows at Pressed.
Performing on October 16th was The Famines, Warp Lines (Members of Big Dick and The Yips) and Faux Cults.
Starting off the show was Peterborough’s Faux Cults. It was a fun garage surf rocking set.Second band was Warp Lines. Basically a new Ottawa band featuring members of Big Dick and Kurt of The Yips. As I like to call it Big Dick with a third member. Anyways very different from Big Dick. More of the 90s grunge punk rock music sound to them. They did do a Husker Du cover. Totally a wild loud set!!
Ending it off was Montreal’s The Famines. They totally tore up the set with their loud noisy garage punk rock music. Pretty intense set to say the least!!
