It was a magical emotional and wonderful concert at St. Albans Church presented by Megaphono and Arboretum Festival.
Can’t believe it that The Acorn‘s album Glory Hope Mountain is 10 years old!
One of those shows you don’t want to miss out.
Special guest opening up for them was Montreal’s Un Blonde.
Nice video projection by Hard Science.
A member of Refugee613 gave a message to the audience.
Glory Hope Mountain was the first album I bought (still have the original pressing) while getting into the indie music scene.
Nice fitting way to celebrate it by performing the album from beginning to end.
Mostly the tracks Crooked Legs and Flood pt 1 have been performed live various times but hearing Even While You’re Sleeping, Glory, Oh Napoleon and Flood pt 2 (My favorite) was a treat.
During the course of the set, Rolf explained to the audience about certain songs about his mother’s story.
Some were grim and emotional and some light hearted.
Overall it was definitely a wonderful show to put on the books for 2017.
