The Besnard Lakes – Raindrops [Music Video]

This is a band I will never get to see live if they ever make a stop in Ottawa.
Today, Montreal psych-rock band The Besnard Lakes dropped the music video for Raindrops directed by Joseph Yarmush of Suuns.
And they announced their new album called The Besnard Lakes Are The Last of the Great Thunderstorm Warnings which is set for release on January 29, 2021.
The 72-minute suite marks the first release via their new labels via Flemish Eye in Canada, Fat Cat Records in the USA and Full Time Hobby in the UK/EU.
While it is 5 minutes, this is their most easy listening and accessible psych-rock track they have recorded.

About the song and music video:
“This song and video details a psychedelic flight through the mind while deep in an altered state.
The song lyrically references the death of Mark Hollis from Talk Talk (“Garden of Eden spirited”) and also describes the idea of evolution determining the story of the Garden of Eden.”
