JayWood – UNTITLED (Swirl) [Music Video]

Recently the Winnipeg musician JayWood dropped the music video for UNTITLED (Swirl) via Captured Tracks and Royal Mountain Records.
The track is a smooth, psychedelic blend of funky hip-hop and soul, full of swirling textures and laid-back grooves.
JayWood continues to expand his genre-blurring palette with a cool confidence, layering chopped vocals, jazzy guitar licks, and a bassline that doesn’t quit.
It’s equal parts breezy and bold—a tune made for sun-drenched days or introspective night drives.

About the track by JayWood:
“It’s definitely a song about our relationship with phones and the false sense of connection it creates.
I think throughout the song I’m asking for genuine connection and reaching out to friends trying to meet them where they’re at with energy and time. Don’t say you love me under the sun / As if you ever make time for anyone. / You can’t hide on the feed Which is kinda saying don’t say we’re close friends or homies if our only connection is sending reels to each other, vs: You don’t have to be faithful / All I ask is checking in / Even if you’re too worn down for quality time This is saying, we don’t gotta do things all the time routinely but let’s just show up with where we’re at in life.”
