Fans of Malajube rejoice!
Check out their new single Synesthésie from the upcoming album La Caverne which drops on April 19th.
Here is a blurb on the new album.
Malajube are proud to present La Caverne – the much-awaited new album. Two years after Labyrinthes’ release, they take
us back into Le Compte Complet territory (the very first Malajube album). On La Caverne, the band showcases all their best features: raw energy, hyperactive melodies, cavernous textures, creative structures and spontaneity.
In an often harsh and ruthless world, Malajube takes the road less travelled and offers a surprisingly happy album that defines “joie de vivre.” The album is both a thoughtful selection of borrowed pop elements and a retro-futuristic musical mixture that creates a sonic drug, pleasantly irreverent and animalistic.
The foursome (Thomas Augustin, Francis Mineau, Mathieu Cournoyer and Julien Mineau) wrote, recorded and produced all 10 tracks on La Caverne. The album was recorded in Morin Heights, Quebec, in a “geodesic modern cave, formed by multiple triangular surfaces.” Ryan Battistuzzi, their long-time collaborator, was on hand to mix the final product.
I actually like the new song.
Short, catchy and makes me want to speak French.
Listen to Synesthésie.
