Album review of the Brooklyn band, The Drums.
Its going to be one of those bands I will not get to see live in my lifetime.
But I was curious to find out what the Drums from Brooklyn sounded.
Totally surprised with their self-titled album.
Seems to be a trend recently with American bands going to the whole 1980s British retro synth-pop rock sound.
Listening to the self-titled album just felt like you have transported back to the 1980s.
Its like a mix of Vampire Weekend mixed with The Smiths and New Order/Joy Division and abit of The Beach Boys.
Absolutely fun great debut album to check out in 2010.
