2009 has been Yeah Yeah Yeah’s year. It was sort of a change in sound when you listen to Zero and Heads Will Roll. The band justs want to party.

Lily has done it again in 2009. Scoring another #1 single with the Fear in the UK. Which Amy Winehouse hasn’t done yet. Dumping Mark Ronson and a change in direction in her music making it her most personal and revealing ones since her debut.

Thanks to singinglamb for getting me the signed copy of the album. This is a mind blowing album which is haunting about someone’s journey into a hospice.

A fun dancey pop record.

A fun pop psychedelic album.

Don’t know what the Blueprints is about. But I love listening to Run This Town (try to tune out Kanye West) and Empire State Of Mind which is a love letter for New York City.

What can I say, its been their year. Something about that song gets me dancing. Got to love that jacket Karen O is wearing in the music video.
Catchy rock-pop tune by the amazing and talented Joel Plaskett
For those who aren’t aware or surprise with this band. They are instrumental Toronto band fronted by Paul Aucoin who plays the vibraphone.
Something about this track is so dramatic and haunting.
Don’t Haunt This Place is one of my favorite songs of 2009. Love the drum beats.
I decided to have a tie since I wanted to have both songs in the Top 10.
A very trippy music video. The song is very catchy and banjo is killer.
This Thunder which I simply love this song, just speaks to me. The video is soo retro-cool. A perfect poppy Canadian song.
DANCE PARTY!!! The song has some meaning since its about what it was like being sixteen. The music video is very funny and quirky.

Something about this song when you listen to it. You’ve been transported back in the early 1900s

Ohbijou does it best with New Years. I find the video cute when the volcano explodes.
Something about this song just sticks into your head.
