Things were picking up into full swing on Thursday (July 8th) for Bluesfest.
It was an eclectic amount of musicians for all the ages.
The acts that I saw were:
- Laurent Bourque
- Good2Go
- Lindsay Ferguson
- The Bacon Brothers
- Great Lake Swimmers
- The Moody Blues
- Andrew Bird
- The B-52s

Here is a short blurb on the acts that I saw.
Laurent was great live.
Good2Go was an eye opener with the lead singer’s unique outfit.
Lindsay Ferguson looked amazing live and had a great turnout.
The Bacon Brother (yes its Kevin Bacon) was nice live and I was too starstruck seeing Kevin Bacon.
Great Lake Swimmers are always amazing live! Wasn’t until the third song that it started to rain.
The rain only lasted for about 15 minutes.
The Moody Blues I was not familiar with their music but they were very lively.
Andrew Bird was very entrancing to see live.
Lastly was the B-52s and they were rocking/dancing Ottawa big time.
I didn’t get to hear Loveshack but it was a lively set and love the colors.
That was my day at Bluesfest Day 3.

Best part of the evening? The Bacon Brothers covering “Footloose!” Ha!

I heard it! While waiting under the other stage for the Moody Blues
They did play Love Shack, but right before the encore. They ended with Planet Clair and Rock Lobster, probably the best part of the show!
