Daniel Romano played Raw Sugar Cafe on April 8, 2011.
Part of the album release for “Sleep Beneath the Willow“.
The show was packed and crowded, even with various shows happening in Ottawa (IE TPC).
This time Daniel had a backing band and I was not aware that it was called “Daniel Romano and the Trilliums”.
The time’s I’ve seen Daniel Romano was mostly solo and accompanied by Misha Bower.
At least the whole band got to fit into that small space at Raw Sugar Cafe.
Spencer Burton was there backing him up too.
The band wore matching clothes with the Trilliums.

It was just amazing to hear the songs live!
Tracks like Time Forgot (To Change My Heart), Hellen’s Restaurant (which I heard some people giggled) and Paul & Jon.
The whole set had that country folk like feel to it.
It was a lovely show and people were so quiet and attentive to the set.
