Graham Wright – Bridget [Music Video]

Tokyo Police Club keyboardist/guitarist and Girlfriend Material frontman Graham Wright dropped the music video for Bridget.
The leading single is taken from the sophomore album in 10 years called The Cost Of Doing Business which comes out on September 28, 2021 via Graham’s own Ray Cat Records.
A cool fuzzy vocal alterna-pop tune!

About the track:
“That’s when I really started loving music in the way that’s defined my life. So when I started doing these self-conscious 90s throwbacks, it didn’t feel like a costume or pastiche, it felt like I was tapping into something truly honest. Plus it’s fun as hell to just go for it, do the big guitars and pretend I’m Matchbox 20.”

The word “honest” comes up again and again.

“When I started making music, when I was a kid, it was all heart. Even when I thought I was using my brain, I was really using my heart. But I thought I was this real smart guy, so I kept trying to use my brain, and I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working. It wasn’t until really recently that I finally realized I’ve been a heart guy the whole time. So now I’m just trying to be honest, even when it’s kind of embarrassing. Or especially when it’s embarrassing.”

Bridget gets:
/10.
