Japanese Breakfast – Psychopomp [Review]

Japanese Breakfast‘s Psychopomp is the album I should have reviewed when it came out in late-March through Yellow K Records.
But I did a post back in January on the leading single and now the album has been growing on me.
Now it is getting critical acclaim plus the album is getting a push in the European market through Dead Oceans.
What I love about the album is with it’s dreamy lo-fi pop and rock sound.
It is also a personal and emotional album for Michelle Zauner since it deals with the death of her mother and going through the journey of life, death, love, past, present and the future.

This is an album if you are feeling at a loss in your personal life, love and family.
One of the best for 2016!
Best tracks:

  • In Heaven
  • The Woman That Loves You
  • Everybody Wants To Love You
  • Jane Cum
  • Heft
  • Moon on the Bath
  • Triple 7

I’d give Psychopomp:
