Jeremie Albino and Dave Monks @ Club Saw

There was no way of missing out this show on February 7, 2020 at Club Saw (Galerie Saw Gallery).
It was a year ago I saw Jeremie Albino perform at Megaphono during an afternoon showcase in Elmdale Tavern.
After dropping his debut album Hard Times last year, the wait was over for Ottawa audiences to see him perform live from that album.
Starting off the show was Dave Monks of Tokyo Police Club.
This time he went solo and promoting his album On a Wave.
Accompanied by Alyson McNamara, it was a wonderful acoustic indie pop-rock music.
This shows off a different side of Dave on his singer-songwriter abilities. 8/10.
Then it was Jeremie’s turn to go on stage.
My first time seeing him with a full band and was surprised to see Michael Laing from the Love Machine drumming for him.
It was definitely an exciting show and even the flu didn’t stop him from performing.
When he sang Shipwreck with his band members, I almost got choked up.
He definitely played all the songs from Hard Times plus one new song.
I swear the voice and talent is quite something and wish the show didn’t ended so quickly but was worth it! 9/10.
Check out the photos from the show.
