This is going to be somewhat of a short post but I just wanted to share with you an artist I’ve been getting really into lately. We’re also going to be mixing it up with a French artist! His name is Matthieu Chedid but he’s better known as M (his stage name) and I assume he’s very well known in France. I’ve been a fan of his for a while but it was only now that I’ve been able to revisit his music and really get into his 2003 album Qui De Nous Deux.
He’s worked with Vanessa Paradis, specifically on a track called “Pourtant“, one of my favorites from her album Bliss:
He’s also recently worked with Guillaume Canet (French actor/director) and contributed to the soundtrack of Canet’s film Ne Le Dis À Personne (Tell No One).
But my favorite of his collaborations is his work with Sean Lennon. They remixed Sean’s track “Parachute” from his 2006 album Friendly Fires and came up with a track called “L’Eclipse”:
