Here’s what happened on the second day of Megaphono 2016.
Started off the day with the panel called Meet The Press which had Caitlin Crockard (CBC Ottawa); Dominick Mastrangelo (Brooklyn Vegan); Kristel Jax (Chartattack); Peter Simpson (Ottawa Citizen), Kat Stewart (Webster Media Consulting) and moderating was Amanda Rheaume.
There was the Speed Meeting Network session.
Last panel of the day was Making Safer Spaces which had Dillon Black (The Queer Mafia); Elsa Mirzaei (Babely Shades / Everett); Azarin Sohrabkhani (Ottawa International Animation Festival / Ottawa Explosion and moderated by Lynn Saxberg (Ottawa Citizen)
The first show was at Two Six {Ate} and performing there was Laurent Bourque and Fred Woods.
Ran up to Pressed and caught Michael Feuerstack. I was very happy that he sang Flowers in the City!
Over at St.Alban’s Church, Fiver performed an acoustic set followed by Merganzer performing an experimental dream pop set and headlining was Andy Shauf.
Lastly went over to the dirty Dom (Dominion Tavern) and caught performances by Everett, Boyhood, Fet.Nat and Duchess Says.
All I have to say is Duchess Says had the best performance at the festival!
