Attended a media preview for the National Arts Centre‘s unveiling of their new orchestra shell in Southam Hall.
During the summer the NAC has been under summer renovations for the Babs Asper Theatre, Azrieli studio and le cafe before they open to the public on September 11, 2018.
The upgrades are part of the Architectural Rejuvenation and Production Renewal Project which started in 2014 and was invested in $225.4 million.
With the new orchestra shell, it will improve the experience for the artist and audience when it comes to the sound.
Alexander Shelley conducting the orchestra and it was announced that his contract with the NAC Orchestra has been extended to 2023.
