It’s a song about watching the people in my life struggle under the weight each of them carry, and the joy in watching them come to life when that weight is lifted.
In times like those, one can only hope we re-emerge with grace, having learned something.
Perennials get crushed each winter but the root stock holds on throughout. It is often a cyclical process.
I hope I can accept that cyclical nature moving into this spring.
