TDA is the new project from Montreal based no-wave/dance-punk band VICTIME, Samuel Gougoux.
Today the band that was formerly known as Trafic des airs dropped the leading single called Présence which is taken from the upcoming debut album Ascète coming out on April 23, 2021 via Michel Records.
A dark claustrophobic experimental post-punk noise rock tune.
About the track:
The song’s rhythm relies on the energy of the jolted percussions, the vaporous vocals like a ghostly choir, and the tension build-up of the scorching guitar riff.
The lyrics refer to the inherent desire that drives human beings and to the idea that the end justifies the means.
“‘Présence’ is the portrait of a well-presented table.
This piece is a reminder of the effort that evaporates into pleasure. Was it worth it? It’s a chalkboard to remind us that hunger is always lurking”.
