Sharon Van Etten & Landon A.R. Coleman @ Mavericks [July 30, 2012]

It was nice Monday evening at Mavericks on July 30, 2012.
Even I was surprised that this musician finally made her first stop in Ottawa.

Show started off with Ottawa’s Landon A.R. Coleman.
This time he had a full band backing him.
He was accompanied by Charlotte Cornfield on drums, Leif Vollebekk and Jonathan Pearce.
It was a really great set of indie folk pop rock music.

Then it was finally Sharon’s turn to come up and play some indie rock and folk music.
Still can’t believe with three albums out.
This was her first time playing in Ottawa.
She is on tour in support of her album “Tramps“.
All I have to say about the whole show was simply “WOW”.
She was very modest and adorable on stage.
Told interesting storytelling stuff about what some of the songs were about.
Most of the songs she sang live were taken from the current album.
Absolutely a great show for a Monday night.
