Ending off a spectacular day what was Record Store Day at The Record Centre. Returned back to the store later in the day to see the Montreal indie folk-pop tropical country band Yitzy.
Another show that took place on April 20th was at Pressed. Playing at the show were Omhouse and Karneef. Sadly I missed out Wellington Sanipe. It was a nice intimate show that night.
On April 20th, MusicXMaker presented an all ages show with dubé & BLikeBrett at Makerspace North. It was a unique show that started off with hip-hop from BLikeBrett to loud grungey rock by dubé (fka Brothers dubé) to throngs of screaming adolescent girls. Pretty insane show for that calibre.

AXENÉO7 had their opening exhibition for Montreal’s Dominique Sirois and Skawennati. Also in the lounge area was the works of Mario Généreux. These artists had really interesting works at the gallery and you should go and check them out. The exhibition runs until May 19, 2018.
House of Targ celebrated four years in business! They held a “Super Over-the-Top Anniversary Mega arcade Party! Filled with new pinball games and a human-size Ice Cold Beer game. Here’s to more wonderful fun times at House of Targ!
Pietro Amato & Jessie Stein of the Luyas stopped by for a wonderful day show at The Record Centre. They just released an LP called After Language. It is an instrumental record that is lushed with ambient minimalistic sounds. For those that braved the weather (ME) I really enjoyed this set. Check out the photos
