Prairie Scene with The Sheepdogs and The Stanfields [April 30, 2011]

Still with the Prairie Scene in Ottawa on April 30, 2011.
This time it was Wide Mouth Mason headlining at Mavericks.
I didn’t catch their set but from what I was told, they are great live.
I was there for the openers which were:

Before the show started.
I did a short interview with Jon from The Stansfield.
Have a listen to the interview.

Despite the band not from the Prairies, The Halifax band totally rocked it up on stage.
The audience got their feet moving and totally liked it.
I really liked their set and the band was very lively in their music.

Next up was The Sheepdogs, who was the reason I wanted to go to this show.
It’s all due to the hype from the Rollingstone’s Choose The Cover contest and the only Canadian band in the running.
The Sheepdogs @ Mavericks
I can see why!
Their music has that 1960s classic “Southern” Americana rock sound that was crazy and epic.
Danced and swayed to their music and so did the audience.
It was amazing and I can see this band totally explode in the months coming up to Bluesfest.
Overall it was a great show.
Here are the photos.
