March 5 which fell on a Sunday and there was a show at Bar Robo.
Through the word of mouth from a music friend, that I should check out the Vancouver band called Bad Pop.
The band was formerly known as Hot Panda and they are currently on their North American tour and heading to SXSW.
They are promoting their self-titled (Originally as Hot Panda) re-released album.
Also opening up were two Ottawa acts which were Empty Nesters and Holy Christopher.
I was impressed with Bad Pop. A lively energetic and charismatic band from Vancouver. Post-punk rock set that was truly enjoyable!Second time seeing Ottawa’s Empty Nesters at the same venue which felt Deja-vu. Indie garage rock set. For a band that has been around for a year (If I am right?), I can’t believe they have alot of materials they put out. Hopefully this year they should release something soon.
