So I didn’t get to photograph the concert (besides my phone) but I was lucky to attend, watch and sing (out of tune) to Céline Dion‘s music.
First of two nights at Ottawa’s (well technically Kanata) Canadian Tire Centre for her Courage World tour.
Thank goodness she recovered from her throat infection in which she had to postpone and move her Montreal shows but at least the Ottawa show was not affected.
It was kind of obvious that she was kind of struggling with her voice and needed the audience to sing with her and kept the energy up.
Love the Céline-ism when she was engaging with the audience like when she took of her puffy sleeves since she was getting hot.
As previously posted with my song picks.
The last time I saw Céline was in the mid-90s when she played at Lansdowne during her The Colour of My Love tour.
Has been 10 years since she last played in Ottawa.
Started off with a stunning sparkly red dress!
Began with a short version of “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”!
Sang all the classics like The Power of Love, Because You Loved Me, I’m Alive Beauty and the Beast and
To her French classics of Dans un autre monde and S’il suffisait d’aimer.
Before the encore did a medley of Let’s Dance / Another One Bites The Dust / Kiss / River Deep, Mountain High / Lady Marmalade.
The encore was no other than My Heart Will Go On which I couldn’t stop crying and sing out of tune!
Ended of with an acoustic performance of Pour Que Tu Maimes Encore.
I would have loved it if she had sung Think Twice (probably be when she tours in England and Europe) and All By Myself.
But what can you can do, beggars can be choosers and it’s Céline.
The showed ended right at 10pm! So it is a 8/10.
