Fake Palms – Sun Drips [Listen]

Today Buzz Records announced a new signing on their roster.
It is Fake Palms from Toronto.
The band’s name creeped up on my Twitter feed and was curious to who they were.
So it happens to be Michael le Riche’s (ex-The Darcys) project.
The band has released this single out called Sun Drips which I can’t stop listening.
Sun Drips is more lo-fi post-punk music similar to Viet Cong who are big at the moment.
Have a listen to the song.

Info on the band:
Fake Palms are a Toronto-based band signed to Buzz Records.
First conceived as a collection of bedroom demos recorded with a broken drum machine by Michael le Riche in 2011, the project coalesced into a band in early 2015 when le Riche recruited several longtime contributors to Toronto’s music scene, including members of Hooded Fang and Slim Twig’s backing band.

Sun Drips gets:
/10.
