It was a fun night with two Montreal bands and two Ottawa bands at Cafe Dekcuf on August 6, 2010.
Playing at the show were:
I finally got to see a full live set of Nightwood.
Last time they were in Ottawa it was for Bands Undone in January.
For those that don’t know they are a band from Montreal.
Their music is indie heavy rock alternative.
The play materials from their album Carta Marina.
Started off with their new song Carve a path like a valley through the land (aka CAPLAVTTL).
They were brilliant live!
Next was The Gallop.
They were great live as always.
I got to play the tambourine for some of their set.
Cotton Mouth was amazing as always.
For those that don’t know it is basically the members of Parlovr with Montreal producer Martin Horn.
I saw them at Osheaga.
This time they sounded great indoors than outdoors.
They had a high energy alterna-pop rock sound.
I really enjoyed their set.
New Teeth, I only got to stay for two songs.
But they were rocking it pretty well and the audience loved it.
Here are the rest of the photos.
