It’s been four years since Rebekah Higgs made a follow-up to her self-titled debut album.
Since then Rebekah was busy with her alter-ego of Ruby Jean and the Thoughtful Bees.
Now she is back as her own with the second album “Odd Fellowship” which drops on August 23, 2011 on Hidden Pony Records.
Ten tracks filled with catchy poppy folk-rock tunes.
There is a bit of twangy with guitar riff sound in Young & Beauty.
Odd Fellowship is far different from her first album since its more straightforward with the music and songwriting.
A very grown up and maturing album in tracks like Miserably Together, Lazy Morning, Girl In The Sweater
While there are fun and playful tracks in Little Voice, Youth & Beauty, Give You What You Want, Shoop and Drunk Love.
Well three of the tracks were on her EP “Little Voice“.
Sad that my favorite track on the EP, “Asleep All Winter” didn’t make it.
Overall I really enjoyed Odd Fellowship.
I would say it is her most fun and creative album right now!
