Having dropped this EP in March.
I finally got time to listen to Ottawa band Roberta Bondar‘s second EP called Hiss.
It’s the follow up to their self-titled EP which came out last year.
This is more accessible because the tracks don’t go more than 5 minutes.
Still maintains the indie experimental punk-rock and lo-fi vocal music.
It’s more cohesive and fast-paced with the drumming and guitars.
When I chatted with Alex Maltby of the band.
He said “Hiss is more of a winter themed and the self-titled is more summery”.
It does have that cold hollow sound when you hear tracks on Haus and Salt.
Still a great EP to listen and rock out!
You can get the EP on cassette through Bruised Tongue.
Best tracks:
RIYL: Boyhood, Grime Kings, White Wires and Silver Dapple.
