Royal Canoe, Savoir Adore & Trees @ Cafe Dekcuf [October 12, 2012]

It was a busy and chilly Friday night.
I decided to hit up this show at Cafe Dekcuf.
Playing at the show were:
Royal Canoe

Savoir Adore

Trees

I was more eager to see the Brooklyn band Savoir Adore.
Before the show I got to interview them at CHUO-FM. The interview is here.

The show stared off with Ottawa’s Trees.
They hadn’t play in quite some time.
At least the band mentioned that they are finished making the CD and waiting for the artwork.
The band played alot of new material.
It’s a indie experimental pop rock kind of sound they have developed.

Second was Brooklyn’s Savoir Adore.
I finally got to see their set.
They played tracks from the new album “Our Nature“.
Started off with Dreamers and I couldn’t help but dance to it.
When they did Loveliest Creature, the band raised their arms out during the chrous part.
It was a wonderful set of indie electro-synth-pop set.
Go check them out or you could win a signed copy of the album here.

Lastly I caught two songs from Winnipeg’s Royal Canoe.
I still can’t believe all six members could fit into that small stage.
