Sea Oleena is a sister and brother duo from Montreal consisting of Charlotte and Felix.
Can’t believe this EP came out in 2011 and ever since I downloaded it on my iPod, it has been on heavy rotation while listening.
Ever since they played at Raw Sugar Cafe (which I happened to miss).
I’ve grown fond of their music and want to spread the word out about them.

Sea Oleena is one those acts that I kind of heard about in the Montreal music scene but I keep missing out at festivals like NXNE and Pop Montreal (ex CTZNSHP, Goosehut, Freelove Fenner & bands from Passovah).
To give it some perspective, their music is very much indie lo-fi dream pop and folktronica.

The tracks on Sleeplessness is beautifully done.
Lots of luscious layers/textures of music and lyrics is warm with a hint of darkness like on Southbound.
Charlotte’s vocal is so beautiful and haunting at the same time.
