Recently the Los Angeles band Sego dropped the music video for Malibu Mary.
The third single is taken from their upcoming album called Tandang which comes out on November 12, 2024.
About the track by Sego:
“At the merch table after one of our shows, I was able to briefly reconnect with the drummer of a band (The Alligators) that shared the stage with our old band back in the day in the house party days of Provo, UT.
As it turns out, he’d developed into a very accomplished director since our dirtbag college years.
Fast forward a few months to receiving a call from Julian Acosta (same drummer/director) about our song being in a Comcast commercial which quickly escalated into us acting in the same commercial.
Eventually, it went on to air during the Olympics and the Super Bowl.
Quite an acting debut for the band… While getting makeup done before a living room shot, Julian leaned out from behind the camera and said in his coyly curious tone, “Hey, Spencer. Can we make a music video together?”
