After the screening of Eva Bee’s Jamboree at Raw Sugar Cafe.
I hopped over to Pressed to catch Adam Saikaley Quartet.
You can say it was kind of the Experimental series Adam puts on.
I was there to see Adam’s set.
In case you not familiar, the quartet consist of:
- Craig Pederson (trumpet)
- Rolf Klausener (bass)
- Pat Johnson (drums)
- Adam Saikaley (piano, electronics)
Apparently Adam called his music “Juke Jazz” which is smooth and atmospheric compositions played to frenetic ankle breaking electronic rhythms.
Anyways it was a wonderful set to end the Wednesday evening.
