Immaculate Machine and others @ Mavericks (Review)

November 6th was a great night despite being very cold outside. Must be the first signs of winter coming.
Went to Mavericks and playing there were:

Immaculate Machine

I was very excited to see Immaculate Machine since May when they played in Ottawa for the BC Scene.
This time the band is now a five piece.

The first band to play was the Zolas.
They are a Vancouver band and their music is indie piano pop.
Great set they put on and their music was catchy.
Like the interaction with the audience about what the stories on the songs are about.
Here is a interview I did with them after their set

The second band was Ottawa’s Organ Eyes.
This was my second time seeing them play live, last time they opened up for Azeda Booth.
Their music was very mellow and experimental.
It was a interesting set to see.
They had friends that came to support them.

The third band was Ottawa’s New Teeth.
Seen them various times now and they never disappoint.
Very lively loud music they played.
Noticed people who came danced away to their music.
They played two new songs.
They rocked it away.

Lastly it was Immaculate Machine.
They were amazing as always.
I kind of miss them as a three piece but with the band being bigger.
I think their sound is alot fun, full and alot better.
Sang a mix from their album High On Jackson Hill and Fables.
Their encore they sang a cover of “The Boys Are Back In Town” and Dear Confessor.
Afterwards, I got to do a interview with Brooke of Immaculate Machine.
