Protomartyr, Preoccupations and Rattle @ The 27 Club

Definitely one of my favorite shows before 2018 ends.
Protomartyr, Preoccupations and Rattle played at The 27 Club on November 24, 2018.
It was part of their November/December tour and Ottawa was the second stop.
So I was arrived about half-way during the British drum duo Rattle.
It was an unbelievable set of these two British drummers drumming away to their experimental music. 8/10
Last time Preoccupations played Ottawa was in April 2017 same venue but different name.
It’s been so long and I couldn’t wait to see them.
The band is currently promoting their third album New Material.
Another unbelievable set of them rocking it out!
Sadly they didn’t play Death (which I was hoping for them to close) but instead played Memory midway.
There was favorites like Newspaper Spoons, March of Progress, Continental Shelf, Sihouettes and Disarray.
They didn’t disappoint at all and was glad to see them with no intense moshing! 10/10.
Ending the night was Protomartyr with their post-punk music.
Started off with My Children which I couldn’t contain my excitement.
Then followed Wheel of Fortune from their Consolation EP.
After the third song, I decided to hang in the back and just basked in to their music! 8/10.
